DARA SURATEAU
J'explore la tension entre la rigueur de la structure géométrique et l’épuisement méthodique du temps. Mené sur de monumentaux formats verticaux (80x120 cm) et sur carton gris, mon travail plastique s’articule autour d’un protocole d’accumulation graphique pensé comme un traducteur d’états d’âme.
Bande après bande, aux feutres et pinceaux fins gorgés d'encre de Chine, je sature l'espace par un cumul de micro-motifs géométriques et cellulaires. Ce processus obsessionnel agit comme une cartographie intime de mes états psychiques au fil du temps.
Là où la série KARTOGRAPHIE matérialise les reliefs et les géographies de mes paysages intérieurs, la série Noir Etc x Melt s’impose comme un espace de purge nécessaire face au trop-plein émotionnel. De cette patience d'orfèvre naît une dualité magnétique entre la violence sourde du sentiment et la vibration pure de noirs profonds.
I explore the tension between the rigour of geometric structure and the methodical exhaustion of time. Conducted on monumental vertical formats (80x120 cm) and on grey cardboard, my visual work revolves around a protocol of graphic accumulation, conceived as a translator of emotional states.
Strip after strip, using fine liners and brushes saturated with India ink, I saturate the space through an accumulation of microscopic, cellular and geometric patterns. This obsessive process acts as an intimate mapping of my psychological states over time.
Where the KARTOGRAPHIE series materializes the reliefs and geographies of my inner landscapes, the Noir Etc x Melt series asserts itself as a necessary space of purging in the face of emotional overflow. From this goldsmith-like patience arises a magnetic duality between the silent violence of feeling and the pure vibration of deep blacks.
